What Exactly is Hypnosis?
You probably recall the sensation of daydreaming .... or the wonderful feeling of your body and mind drifting off towards a sleeping state.... well, this is similar to the state of hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy is a well-recognised healing state of mind, orginating from the Greek word 'sleep'. With eyes closed, clients experience a relaxed and safe way to identify and develop meaningful alternatives to their present unsatisfactory ways of thinking, feeling or behaving, through a trance-like state.
Hypnotherapy enlists the power of the client’s own imagination and may utilise a wide range of techniques from story telling, metaphor or symbolism (judged to be meaningful to the individual client) to the use of direct suggestions for beneficial change.
It is a safe and calm method that encourages transformation of the mind and behaviour.
Of course, the best way to verify these effects is to experience them personally!
You can come up anytime DAY 1 afternoon (from 6pm ... first optional session starts at 7pm. Yes it is okay if you are must come later the first evening due to work or travel! Don't worry, we'll catch you up if you miss anything essential from the program) until DAY 3 completing around 11am.
During the weekend, you will enjoy numerous and varied sessions that are based around Hypnotherapy, CBT, NLP, EFT and a few intensive exercise sessions including weight loss yoga and adventure walking in the delightful countryside and/or refreshing seaside.

Treat yourself to a delicious Deep Tissue Massage (proper strong deep tissue - excellent therapists!), Relaxing Full Body Massage, Swedish Massage or Reflexology. Massage Treatment rates are: £30 per half hour, £45 for 45mins, £60 for 1 hour, £90 for 1.5hours. Our retreat location for the Meditation Retreats is a beautiful Georgian farmhouse and newly renovated luxury Barn, located just outside the peaceful village of Battle Abbey, in the heart of East Sussex. The gorgeous scenery, idyllic pond and magnificent walks make it a wonderfully comfortable, serene retreat location.
Your Room with a View
Prices are based on four, triple, twin-sharing or double rooms. We match people up based on years of experience, to ensure the happiest outcome for all participants. Females only share with females. Males only share with males. Should you require or prefer a PRIVATE room, there is a supplement of £100 for the weekend but you do need to check availability first.
Each of the bedrooms has been decorated with peaceful, gentle vintage shades to make you feel even more relaxed and comfortable. Some have ensuite or you’ll be sharing a bathroom.
Comfortable single beds in Four, Triple or Twin Rooms (room allocations are at discretion of Retreat Manager and depend on booking numbers)
Comfortable double bedrooms for couples or if you book a private (non-sharing) room
Overlooking idyllic pond and wildlife
The living room is all comfy sofas and cushions with a big open fireplace and lots of interesting magazines and books to read.
The dining room, a lovely double-windowed room with views out onto the gardens, has a long dining table where everyone can sit and enjoy meals together, candle–lit in the evening.
Plus, of course, there’s relaxation space, massage treatment space and breathtaking gardens, for you to use while you’are here.
What to Wear
The more relaxed, the better for this retreat .... jeans, tracksuit, warm jumper and anything you feel warm, relaxed and comfy for seating, meditation sessions, self-relflection and walking. Meal times are informal and restful.
Enjoy healthy, balanced and tasty vegetarian meals, to encourage a lighter feeling in the digestive system for optimising meditation sessions. No alcohol during retreat, as it's an opportunity to transform your relationship with food and drink items that have perhaps been holding you back from feeling and looking amazing and full of vitality.
Snacks, tea, water and juice are all provided. You can also take part in a few healthy juicing sessions so you can try out fruit & vegetable combinations! An excellent way to kick-start a detox, if you want!
As the farmhouse is on an un-numbered road, you will receive the full address and directions in your email confirmation. Please print and plan your journey in advance!
Train travel is the recommended method of travel: taxi under 15mins from both Battle or Bexhill train stations.
